Deborah bassey

Introducing Deborah Ita Bassey, the CEO of Dee’s Cravin. Since childhood, Deborah’s dream has been to become both a chef and an entrepreneur, and in 2021 she turned that dream into a reality. According to Deborah, her business is profitable, but success requires proper funding and visibility. She began her venture with a startup capital of 20,000 naira and encouraged others to pursue their own entrepreneurial aspirations.

The high point recorded so far in the business is her ability to win an award in the state she resides and the low point of the business is when she incurred a loss of a hundred thousand naira (N100,000). She was so devastated and it took her time to recover because that was her life savings.

She has thought about giving up in the face of challenges but she is motivated by the fact that a black kid should not give up.

Deborah runs a food brand online because she does not have enough capital to open a physical store. Her clients place an order by messaging her on her business social media platforms and she prepares the meals and sends them through a dispatch rider.  She works alone and her business is not yet registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission.

Policymakers and investors can assist Deborah with funds to expand her business.
