Peter Nnamani is an entrepreneur who sees potential in livestock farming. He ventured into piggery in 2017 with N150,000 as a starting capital. He started his piggery on a small portion of land that belongs to him, and manages it on his own.

Peter’s challenge has been the lack of funds to equip his farm to the desired standard as well as develop his fishery too. He admits that sometimes difficult situations try to deter him but he presses on. He mentions Anna Phosa, an entrepreneur in his line of business to be his mentor.

In his words, Peter advices entrepreneurs venturing into livestock farming to “have passion for the work they do”. He believes that entrepreneurs can be the solution to food security in his state and nation as a whole.

Policymakers can help Peter Nnamani by providing funding.
