Abasiodiong Okokon Basse

Meet Abasiodiong Okokon Bassey, a native of Ikot Otoinyie Uruan in Akwa Ibom State. He is a pipeline and structural welder and has a fabrication shop that manufactures iron protectors, gates, doors, chairs, tables and tank stands.

His inability to secure a job prompted him to venture into his line of business in 2018. According to Abasiodiong, one can make a whole lot of money from the business if you have a good source of light and money to buy enough materials for fabrication. Abasiodiong started his business with a startup capital of two hundred thousand naira (N200,000).

The high point recorded in this business is the high patronage he gets due to the high quality of his product. However, the low point of this business is his inability to purchase equipment to enable him to accommodate trainees and market his product in other parts of the country.

Abasiodiong has never thought about giving up in the face of challenges, he acknowledges that life is full of challenges and always looks for ways to tackle his challenges. Moreover, he has few people working with him and his business is not yet registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
