Cletus Idongesit Umoh is a 300level student of the Department of Communication Arts, University of Uyo. An entrepreneur who believes in taking opportunities and trying on new things that can grow one’s skills. He sells tote bags, hair bonnet, T-shirts and gift worthy pillows.

Cletus shares how remarkably profiting his enterprise is. His starting capital was N10,000 and so far he has made much more. He once recorded a profit of N20,000 in one of his sales while his lowest has been N4,000. He ventured into business because he enjoys working and getting to meet people while taking and delivering orders. He started his business in March, 2021 and has recorded a good number of sales and built great customer network since. He has had challenges but none has ever made him consider giving up as he sees each of these difficulties as a stepping stone to growth.

Cletus does not work alone; he employs the services of a tailor who sews the tote bags while he handles the printing/branding and marketing. The same thing goes with the making of his other products.

His mentors are Blessing Jaja, the former SUG Vice President, UNIUYO, and Faustina Oluamachi, the CEO of Tiomah Clothings.

Cletus encourages entrepreneurs who are considering the same business line, to go ahead as it is a good and profitable business, one with less stress and a large customer base. He believes that entrepreneurs can boost the economy of the state and create employment for others. He goes ahead to say that anything one puts their minds to achieve is possible, hence, nobody should hinder you from achieving it.

Policymakers and investors can help Cletus by providing funds for the purchase of work materials and promotion.
